Craft Show Tuesday!

Craft Show Tuesday!

The winner of the Monday giveaway is Congrats Angela! I will contact you.

Tuesdays giveaway is at the bottom of this post! :)

This past weekend I did a small church craft show! It was nice. Better than I was expecting since in the past church craft shows have never been great for me. But as it’s my first show in two years and I tweaked my set up I am hoping it will help me get into some of the juried shows around here.

The booth in it’s entirety! I tried to keep the backdrop all white with just a couple colored things like the two small suitcases and some pyrex dishes to hold smaller items.

I made a sign to match my blog header, and ordered new business cards that match also.  This is the tall unit I constructed a couple years ago.  I made some tweaks this year but my big plan before next year is to replace the lattice with horizontal slats and integrated my sign as part of the slats. I think that will give it a more polished modern look.

I have a shelf full of cozy owls. Then hanging below are some of my embroidered wall art pieces.

On this side, I have the owl pillows, mini owls & mini mushrooms in the smaller suitcase, fancy garlands in the pyrex, and zippered pouches.

In the middle here I have the baby stuff, burp cloth sets & crinkle owls in the suitcase, big kid bibs on the table, and drool bibs hanging on the suitcase.

These are my new snowmen this year. I pinned this picture a bit ago on pinterest and the tall milk snowmen at the top of the picture inspired these snowmen.

They are made from vintage chenille & 100% wool felt.  They stand up on there own because I put a good three inches of rice in the bottom and stuffed them super solid.

Finally on the other side I stacked a couple of white wooden crates and put my bigger animals and holiday animals in there.

I will be posting what didn’t sell this week on etsy so if you are interested in anything check back for my shop update announcement.

Okay and onto the giveaway for Tuesday!

A little love for somebody! This is a hand embroidered love you fabric and felt flag. This would be a gift for someone special to you. Or heck we all need a little reminding that we are loved! ;)

The flag is stitched to a twig and mounted in a vintage spool.  It stands approx. 13″ tall and the flag is approx. 6″ wide.

The spool base has a vintage earring and some ribbon for a little extra detail!

To enter the giveaway, leave a comment telling me if you prefer to receive handmade gifts or store bought gifts more!

Make sure your email is connected to your comment or in your comment.

The giveaway will close at midnight tonight and I will announce the winner tomorrow!

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. You are amazing BTW. And I am not trying to win again, but all your items are SO amazing…just had to tell you that! But an answer to your Tuesday question…I LOVE LOVE LOVE getting unique handmade gifts, whether they are made by the person or that person got them from someone like you who makes amazing one of a kind items! There is just something about the love people put into making things that just feels so much more special than a store bought gift. =]

  2. I thought you craft show set up was fabulous, you’ve really stepped up your game.
I like the flag too – your stuff has the unique ability to be heartfelt but not corny, it’s a fine line.

  3. That little “love you” flag is adorable! Any gift that comes from someone’s heart is great with me. It is awesome when you can tell that the giver put thought into the gift to make it truly unique whether store bought or handmade. Handmade gifts are extra, extra special though!!

  4. homemade gifts for sure. i can always buy store-bought things on my own eventually, but homemade gifts usually mean a bit more and require more thought and time. i love getting home-made things from my kids at school and love your blog :)

  5. Your chenille snowmen are adorable. I have a white chenille bedspread and tried to make one but couldn’t figure out how to wrap it. Yours look like the head is part of the body and not a separate ball attached to the body. Is that right?

If you have a pattern to sell I may be interested.

    Thanks

        1. Hi, I have a tutorial no this blog. Just search in the search bar at the top for snowman tutorial or go to the patterns and tutorials page and scroll down until you see it.

  6. Hi I’m a newbie here. I like your set ups. They r way cool. I wish I had that kind of talent. I’d rather have a homemade gift then a store brought one cause it comes from the heart, and that is special. It means so much thank u for sharing your thoughts and stories.

  7. Your booth was fabulous. I loved your penguins!!! I have twin grandchildren that are in love with the penguin Steve on discovery channel. Would love to purchase, need 2. And for sure a homemade gift I love needle felting and give many of my projects as gifts. It’s so gratifying to give and receive a homemade gift!!

    1. Hi Kim,
Thank you so much! I don’t make those penguins anymore unfortunately. I do have a new design. I don’t know that I have posted it on my blog. I will be selling some in my etsy shop soon. I am not sure how to email you, but if you wanted to message me in my etsy shop or email me woollypetals @ gmail . com no spaces I would be happy to share and see if you would be interested in purchasing.
