It’s been pretty sparse around here lately. The blog that is. I feel like I have been working my butt off on projects though. Stuff I am not ready to share yet as most of it needs tweeking and finishing.

But I walked around the house taking stock after Luke went down for his nap and thought I would share a couple snips of what I have been working on/ prepping for.

Prepping for a Vintage Trunk Pop up Holiday Shop! Details coming soon.

Part of our advent calendar display.

Prepping layout for Luke’s floor train table.

Working on making my shipping/wrapping area extra fun and nice since it’s in my dark basement laundry/storage room.

Making a seed stitch cowl, one skein down, two more to go.

We bit the bullet and bought a closet system from IKEA for our bedroom that has seriously inadequate closet space. Still have to trim them out so they look built in.  Oh yeah and that’s my rarely made bed in the background. ;)

Lastly I FINALLY found the perfect fabrics for the Living room that where in stock and on sale. Jackpot. I can’t wait to get these and get started.

Yep, so lots of stuff happening along with the other day to day schedule. You know feeding Luke and such. ;)

Thanks so stopping by!

Some things I am loving lately…….

This December Daily Album by Jessica at Witticisms is amazing! I have great ambition to make one for my myself and maybe make them at my November craft night!

I did a little update on Etsy this past weekend! It makes me so giddy to see all my colorful things in the shop.

Elizabeth of Dear Lizzy’s awesome Paislee Press Calendar.  I must make one soon, also can we say grandparents Christmas gifts!

I’m dreaming of these chairs to go with my new dining room table. Alas they are sold out and even if they weren’t they would more than likely be out of the budget. ;) So I will probably be painting some of my existing chairs white and thrifting some more. :)

This Wreath! I die. DIY on  Bloesem Kids. It’s made from paper! Can you believe that? I WILL be making one of these for Christmas.

What are you loving lately? Can you tell my mind is skipping ahead to Christmas? It’s my Favorite Holiday/time of year.

I LOVE stacked quilts! This one is so very pretty, this snippet is so great, rainbow goodnessthis one, this, & this are all so lovely. Ever since I made my first quilt several years ago and entered the wonderful world of quilting I have been drawn to this kind of quilt. I have had it on my list to make for awhile now and just haven’t got around to it.

Until now! I started a couple nights ago, while I was sorting through my three bins of scraps. I notice I have a lot of strips and it all got moving from there. Using scraps and fabrics from my stash it developed into mainly blues and greens. I am loving it so far.

I am not following a pattern. Instead I just cut out strips in varying heights and widths and started stacking them on my sofa. I then cut all the white strips to size and started sewing everything together. So far I have one stack. I am sure there is a much easier and faster way of doing this, but I am not in a rush and it’s working for me.

I will share more as I work on it. I think it’s going to be fabulous.
