My Mom and I had a booth at The Pec Thing a couple weekends ago. You may remember we did it for the first time last fall. We set up a touch differently this time. I do believe we had more stuff too! How is that possible?

Our booth set up was nicer this year in that we utilized the back wall by hanging thing directly on it and we set up a long table with tall shelves at one end which gave us a nice separation from the next booth.

I also made that Super long (27′+) garland from fun vintage and new fabrics and doilies. It helped define our space and looked cute, if I do say so myself. I think I am going to try and find a space for it in my sewing space, or part of it. Otherwise it may be put up for sale on etsy soon. But I love it so much! :)

Our Goal was to get rid of the bigger stuff! :) I should have taken a picture at the end. It did look a lot different. But we still have plenty left. Surprisingly enough suitcases where not as big as they were last year. Who would have guessed? Globes are still hot though and we sold all of ours as proof.

We are not sure if we will be doing The Pec Thing in September. Well I know I won’t be selling, I may help my mom a little bit if she does. I am guessing having a 2-3 month old may make it a challenge.  But we hope to do it again maybe next year in one of the buildings where everything isn’t covered in dust at the end of the weekend. The only downside to the show is really the dustiness, well and how HOT it was this year. Yuck! Don’t do a Flea Market when your 9 months pregnant, it’s a little brutal! :)

The fun news is we are going to try really hard to get into Kane County Flea Market next spring/summer. We attended this past Saturday and feel like we would be a better fit there, along with have better traffic and more appropriate clientele. It will be a fun and exciting new venture to try another venue.

I hope you enjoyed the little booth tour and if your on Instagram look for a flash sale sometime later this summer. I am not sure that I will get around to it in the next three weeks before Norah is due. But you never now! :)

It’s been pretty sparse around here lately. The blog that is. I feel like I have been working my butt off on projects though. Stuff I am not ready to share yet as most of it needs tweeking and finishing.

But I walked around the house taking stock after Luke went down for his nap and thought I would share a couple snips of what I have been working on/ prepping for.

Prepping for a Vintage Trunk Pop up Holiday Shop! Details coming soon.

Part of our advent calendar display.

Prepping layout for Luke’s floor train table.

Working on making my shipping/wrapping area extra fun and nice since it’s in my dark basement laundry/storage room.

Making a seed stitch cowl, one skein down, two more to go.

We bit the bullet and bought a closet system from IKEA for our bedroom that has seriously inadequate closet space. Still have to trim them out so they look built in.  Oh yeah and that’s my rarely made bed in the background. ;)

Lastly I FINALLY found the perfect fabrics for the Living room that where in stock and on sale. Jackpot. I can’t wait to get these and get started.

Yep, so lots of stuff happening along with the other day to day schedule. You know feeding Luke and such. ;)

My Mom and I participated in our first Flea Market this weekend! It was awesome. This is our booth. Vintage Trunk, my mom came up with the name. We had such a blast, preparing and setting up the booth. It is so much fun to be validated by selling vintage you find to someone else.  LOVE IT. I will hopefully be doing a little etsy sale of some vintage in my currently closed woollypetalsvintage. So stayed tuned. In the meantime take a walk around our booth.

The check out area. I sketched our logo I designed onto a chalkboard for a booth sign.

Some furniture and toys.

This was a fun display of linens and kitchen utensils.

The school and travel stuff. Every one of those globes sold. And some of the luggage too.

Christmas, not as popular as we expected but we’ve still got a bit of time before the Season starts.

Some trays, lampshades, art, and fun mid century lamp, and some embroidery I did.

Some embroidery pieces will be making there way into the shop.

Lots of dishes and randoms things.

Graters, sifters, and games. Oh My!

Thermos’ and bundt tins.

Some vintage fabric garlands.

And back to the sign and the checkout spot.

We participated in The Pec Thing in Pecatonica, IL. It is a good sized show and had record attendance this weekend. If you are ever in or around Rockford (closest big city) in September or May you must attend.

We have a lot to learn, but we had a blast and did super well. I can NOT wait for the spring show. Now I get to shop some more. ;)

This week and last week I have been prepping for my first Flea Market.I have a booth with my mom. I am excited, nervous, and I am sure will be exhausted after the weekend.

So this week may be a little light on posts, but I will be sure to post pictures of our booth next week. I will be taking some handmade items too, and I am contemplating a pop up shop for left over vintage after the flea.

In the meantime, here’s a bunch of the stuff before pricing. Pardon the blurry pictures these are all taken with my phone.
