So you know how I said I was going to make the postcard quilt from film in the fridge. Well I just couldn't get on board with it as I wasn't sure how I would like it being all prints. So I am going to save that one till I have a delicious stack of solids. So I decided to make film in the fridges' gorgeous starburst quilt instead. She has a basic tutorial of how she made hers.
My first square. I didn't read her instructions to clearly the first time and lost the points of each triangle in the middle. :) But I don't think you will really notice once it is all done and quilted.
As basic and simple this quilt seems, I am struggling with it, because with quilts I like a pattern. This quilt doesn't have a pattern, it is sew as you go, and more free form. Yikes! So the one and a half blocks I have made took me about an hour. I sure hope I get quicker at them or this is going to take a year of Luke's naps to finish. :)
I do love the blocks, the quilt style, and the fabrics so I am going to plug forward with it. It may just have to become a small baby quilt instead of the big cozy quilt I had in mind. Only time will tell. :)
Thanks for stopping by!
p.s. Luke's Valentine's coming soon!
