Peeks

· by Kristin

My weeks lately have been obsessing over Luke's room. I spent three days painting it. Yes three, call me crazy, but it looks wonderful. Here are some peeks of his room so far.

Day 1 paint ceiling navy: Day 2 Paint walls white: Day 3 mark and tape stripes, paint gray stripes. Day 4 relax from utter exhaustion. ;)

I am not a huge fan of "themed" rooms, and I didn't find any bedding I like, well at least for a reasonable price. I mean Serena and Lily rocks but $$$$$$. So I made a navy and white striped dust skirt, it has aqua piping at the top but of course after all the extra work it is hidden by the mattress. :) I have several plain white sheets, but so far I have made one custom sheet and have plans for at least 3 more.

The one custom sheet I currently have is made from a fabulous origami animal print from IKEA. I saw it months ago and knew it would be so perfect for a boys room.

One of my closest friends after seeing the origami fabric had this origami mobile custom made in Japan to match my colors. Oh my gosh I LOVE IT. :) It is just so perfect. Carol you Rock!

I also made this boppy cover about a month ago. I saw one somewhere that was patchworked like this, and for the life of me can't remember where? It is a little wonky as I didn't have an actual boppy when I made it, but I still have to wash it and hopefully it will shrink in all the right places.

Still on the to do list for Luke's room: 1. paint the mid century dresser we found white. 2. install some sort of custom shelving system in the alcove to the right of the crib. 3. Slipcover a comfy chair white. 4. Hang lots of pretties. 5. Have baby!

Thanks for stopping by!

p.s. I have some more crafty projects I will be posting hopefully this week, I just have to weed through the pictures. :)
