Chat and Craft Episode 4 released today April 21st on YouTube. Yay!
During the episode I share a handful of differnt crafts I have been working on the last few months and including a dollhouse, a mural design, and a little about the Silly Goose pattern.
In the second half of the video I share about Regular Sewing Room Maintenance. Or jobs I need to do several times a year to keep my sewing room from getting out of control. Scrap Management, fabric Management, Project Mangagement, and more. I would love to dive deeper into Sewing Room Design and Organization in the furture.
Crafts
Chat and Craft Episode 4 finds me crocheting a granny square cardigan. I am using a lovely Cascade Baby Alpaca yarn in color 565, along with a Cascade 128 Superwash yarn in color 858. My goal for a little over a month has been to crochet 1 a day and I have mostly kept up with that.

This is my current favorite project bag, The Retreat Bag by Emmaline Bags. Made by my friend Jen as a gift.
I am working on a fun Sardine Painting and a mini wall Dollhouse. You’ll need to check out the video for those as I have no links. ;)
There is a pile of quilts I am hoping to work on binding in the near future as I still have my pile of quilted but not bound quilts from my Quilt Top Challenge a few months ago.
Also I made a few of these cute Chicken Pincushions and liked the pattern. I have been calling mine my binding buddy. The Pattern is the Chicken Pincushion by Ric Rac Sews on Etsy.

Again I shared a little bit about my Silly Goose Pattern as it’s doing so well. Thank YOU!!! And I am kind of wondering what other critters I could make into patterns.
I made my daughter a knit shrug using this pattern. The Lily Crochet Shrug by The Easy design. It was a very simple pattern. I had to modify a little due to my daughter being smaller. It turned out good and she likes it which is all that matters.
Here are a few more pictures of early years animals I made and sold.

Well that was a fun little walk down memory lane on my blog. Cue tears! Tiny babies where seen in my scrolling. As well as so many diys. Lol.
P.s. I have a free tutorial for the Campfire Pillow, the Ghost Pillow, the animal head ornaments, the Dinosaur Pillow, the Tall Snowmen Tutorial. Just so you know you can always go to the Patterns and Tutorial Tab along the top of the Website and see “all” my patterns with links to where to purchase or download some for free. I say “all” because I don’t always get them added quickly. :)
I am sure I missed some stuff here so please ask here or on YouTube!
Regular Sewing Room Maintenace Tips
Cutting Scraps down into usuable square sizes. For me that’s 3.5″ and 2.5″ squares and storing all squares of same size together. These are handy to have on hand for quick patchwork projects.
Cleaning up fabric piles ;). Every few projects I fold and put away all my fabric that I toss in a pile after cutting.
Every few months I tweak my fabric shelves by re stacking each fabric stack.
I like to make sure to work on my WIP’s when I have no sew motivation or have a down time for projects to keep my WIP’s in check.
I like to make sure to occasionally wipe all the surfaces I use for cutting down with water or a cleaner. Even thought they don’t get “dirty” they do. ;)
Regular machine maintenance. Dusting, oiling, check all the things to keep them runing smoothly.
And my weekend or Monday reset. Removing all the piles, putting things away, cleaning up so my space is fresh for the week.

Last Thoughts
