Luke’s First Quilt

Luke’s First Quilt

I whipped this up over the weekend! It’s a small quilt to go over his carseat in the winter or on his stroller. It measures roughly 34″ x 37″.

Large Hexagons make up the front. I machined stitched them all, which was a little tricky at all the corners, but after the first 3 or 4 I caught on and it went very smoothly after that.

A close up of the quilting. I tried a pebble style quilting on this quilt. I have only done it once before and really liked it. But as it takes a lot of thread I don’t like to use it on bigger quilts.

The back is pieced with some of the fabrics from the front, and I added the lone hexagon to tie it together.

Once we get his carseat I will more than likely had some velcro tabs somewhere on it so it has less chance of slipping off.

Oh and the full pictures are a little wonky due to my quilt holder being at work. How dare he! :) But the quilt is not wonky shaped. :)

Thanks for stopping by!
