I tried to design each mushroom with its own personality so there would be a lot of variety. There are 8 different mushroom designs, one of which gets duplicated in reverse to fill the quilt with 9 mushroom blocks. The quilt is all traditionally pieced with the exception of the optional FPP stars, and as I always say, the stars are optional. Like so many of my patterns, the Capped Quilt is built for customization: choose which mushrooms you want, rearrange the order, omit one or two that don't speak to you, or go completely off script with your fabric choices.

About the Pattern
The pattern comes in two sizes: a large throw at 72x84 inches and a small throw at 48x60 inches. It includes separate cutting pages and fabric requirements for each mushroom, plus a full 5 pages of color piecing diagrams to help you piece every individual part. This is written similarly to my Ghost Party Quilt, each mushroom has its own dedicated page. Knowledge of HST, Snowball, and Stitch'N'Flip is helpful, and FPP experience is needed if you choose to include the stars.
Companion Video
YouTube video tutorials are available to walk you through the FPP star sections step by step. The videos were made for the To the Stars FPP star pattern and the Ghost Party stars, so the wording and numbering may differ slightly from the Capped Quilt, but the construction is the same and they will help if you have never done FPP before.
