This quilt is such a fun one to make and the result is super, super cute. BOOne, jACCK, and AHHnna are a fun fraid, ever heard that a collective group of ghosts is called a fraid? Pretty cute, right? They all have different personalities visible through their features. BOOne has eyes staring off to the side with a smirk, jACCK is small but mighty with a mouth ready to say the perfect BOO, and AHHnna has wide-eyed wonder and a sweet smile. The pattern makes it easy to mix up the features and make your own unique ghosts.
This has become one of my most-sewn patterns, with annual sew-a-longs and an incredible community of makers putting their own spin on it every fall.
About the Pattern
The pattern comes with 3 downloadable files: the main quilt pattern with fabric requirements, cutting instructions, and sewing instructions with diagrams; FPP pattern pieces as an alternate piecing method; and a bonus file with the Cat Ghost, Heart Eyes, and Mickey ghost variations. The finished quilt measures 60" x 72" with nine ghost blocks.
The pattern is traditionally pieced with the option to FPP the pieced squares if desired. The little stars are FPP or applique only. Each individual ghost block measures 18" x 24", so you can make a single block as a mini quilt or pillow too. Skill level is advanced beginner. Knowledge of HST, snowball, and FPP is preferred.
