This pattern is for anyone who loves manatees, and honestly, who doesn't? I had so much fun designing these guys. They are adorable and the accessories make them even better. There's something about a manatee in a top hat that just makes me happy. The pattern is traditionally pieced with tons of diagrams, and I included several coloring sheets so you can really plan out your fabric choices before you start cutting.
About the Pattern
The pattern is traditionally pieced with tons of diagrams to go along with the written instructions and includes pattern templates. A complete supply list starts the pattern off, followed by a cutting list, a few technique reviews, and then construction. The finished quilt has three manatees and measures 60" x 72", and instructions are also included to make a single manatee wall hanging with separate yardage requirements. You can increase or decrease the quilt size by adding or removing manatees and adjusting border sizes. There are options for hats, bow tie or no bow tie, and a couple of different piecing methods for the tail section. Skill level is intermediate.
