The story behind the Wash Your Paws

Wash Your Paws is my free pattern and it's my way of saying thank you for being here. The name seemed fitting based on the times we were living in when I released it in March of 2020. The original version is a 63" square quilt using 6.5" squares that can be made scrappy or more color blocked, it has so many fun options.

Since then I've added two bonus versions to the pattern. In December 2021 I made a Christmas version, adding an extra border and switching the background to patchwork. Then in spring of 2022 I made a charm pack version using 5" squares. Both bonus layouts are included in the free download now. This is a free pattern that will remain free forever, it's also a great introduction to my pattern writing style.

The original quilt is 63" square, the charm pack version is 60" square, and you can omit the background borders on the charm pack version for a 38" baby quilt. A large 75" square version boasts an extra border and a patchwork background. Great for a large cozy make. Shown made with a Scrappy Christmas Fabrics here.

Uses 5" squares (charm pack friendly) and finishes at 60" square. Omit the background borders for a 38" baby quilt.
