I hope that everybody had a great Thanksgiving. I sure did. It was a pretty busy weekend, dinner with the in-laws and friends (all 22 of us), my parents visiting, and painting 4 pieces of furniture. The largest of which is this.It came to me by way of the side of the road, meaning free. My husband scoffs at all of the furniture that I get for free or at thrift stores, I just tell him wait and judge after there done. Well this cabinet was not that pretty before the transformation.
The pictures make it look alot better than it was. Oh and it was covered with some sort of gross grease on one side.
So I spruced it up with some crisp white paint on the outside, and a beautiful green on the inside. The knobs are from Anthropologie. I love that store.
In other news, my mom and I did a craft show in Morrison, Il on the 1st. We didn’t do so hot. But it was a blast.
This upcoming weekend I am hosting a craft show at my Church, New Hope Community in Villa Park, Il. If anyone is interested it’s the New Hope Winter Craft Fair on Sat. the 8th from 9am-3pm. Stop by for some cute crafts.
I have been working on these guys this week for the show. They are on my dining room table awaiting their carrot noses. (still trying to figure out what to use) They are looking for some good homes, and if they don’t find them on Sat., I will be setting them up for adoption on Etsy next week.
Have a great Week!
what a gorgeous china hutch! LOVELY! I love it! I do the same thing with my “free” furniture!
