A fun modern twist on a log cabin block you will not be sorry sewing this quilt up. The Clogged quilt is all traditionally pieced starting with the heart in the center of each block. Logs are then sewn around the heart like a traditional Log Cabin quilt block. The logs are slimmer than is normal and depending on how your place fabric will change how the quilt looks.

This quilt and the Supersized Bonus version included in the pattern are both 64″ wide x 60″ tall. Scroll down for more on the Supersized version. The size is a little non traditional being slightly wider than tall. It’s the perfect width to enjoy sharing on the sofa with your loved one. Or you can always add another row of blocks. ;)

The Beats add a fun pattern to the Clogged Quilt

Notice the addition of the beats in the picture just below sharing a little of both Clogged Quilt versions. The quilt in the background is the Supersized Versions (keep scrolling for that one) and it shares the beats, or Stitch’N’Flip corners on the blocks that create a radiating pattern throughout the whole quilt. The beats can be added to either version or left out. Adding the beats is such a fun thing to make your Clogged Quilt a little bit more fun and unique.

Supersize Clogged Version Below

This Supersize Clogged Quilt version is included in the pattern. It is sewn exactly the same as the original version, just with fewer larger blocks, and the sewing instructions are identical so it made adding this to the pattern such an easy choice. At the end of the original pattern I included a cut list with fabric requirements and a few tips on how to cut the supersized version are included in the Clogged Quilt Pattern.

Both Clogged Quilt versions are so fun to make and are a good Log Cabin quilt to try if your never done a Log Cabin Quilt before.

I spent way too long making Mock Ups for the Clogged Quilt. So please sit back and prepare to be convinced that you need to sew this quilt asap. I know I want to make to many more.

Don’t you love them all? I want to make every single one. The way the fabric placement changes the way the pattern flows and looks is just so fun. I especially like the all random version two large mock ups up. It makes me think of an old fashioned crazy quilt with the way the blocks look wonky but they are 100% straight. So cool right?
