The story behind the Ghost Party Pumpkin Expansion Pack

I designed this expansion pack for everyone who wanted to add pumpkins to their Ghost Party quilt. The pack includes 6 pumpkin sections - 3 tops and 3 bottoms - that are fully mix and match. Pair any top with any bottom for 9 possible pumpkin block combinations. Each pumpkin block subs in 1:1 for any ghost block, so you can replace one ghost, three ghosts, or go all pumpkins. It's your party.

Note: This is an expansion pack and requires the original Ghost Party pattern (sold separately).

About the Pattern

The expansion pack includes fabric requirements, cut lists, and written instructions for all 6 pumpkin sections. Diagrams cover general techniques like Stitch'n'Flip along with specialty sewing diagrams for each pumpkin variation. All pumpkins are traditionally pieced using the same techniques as the main Ghost Party pattern.

Clean, simple solid-fabric pumpkin with a single fabric top and bottom. The quickest option to piece.

Patchwork pumpkin

Pieced patchwork sections for a scrappier, more textured look. Great for using up scraps.

A pumpkin block with a sawtooth star element that adds a quilty detail to the design.

Pair any of the 3 top options with any of the 3 bottom options for 9 possible block combinations. Swap in as many or as few pumpkins as you want.
