It’s that time of year! The Ghost Party Sew A Long 2025 has begun! This year is a pretty chill year. I don’t have alot of time or mental capacity to go all out like years past but!!! we will still be having fun and making Ghost Party Quilts together!

Ghost Party SAL 2025 Details

Sew A Long is from September 2nd – October 20th.

No Sign Ups! Join in anywhere along the way. Only post or share when you want to and/or have time. Starting a Ghost Party Quilt from the beginning, only have a few blocks to finish, sewing together you top and quilting? Where ever you are in the process you can join in!

I will share what the prize is for a specific week on the Instagram post. Weekly Lives

I am planning on doing a weekly live on Instagram on mondays or Tuesdays! I will post the time the weekend before to give you a little heads up of what time to look for it.

In the live I’ll share the weekly prize, what to do that week if you have been working from the start to make a quilt and finish by the end of the Sew A Long, and you can ask any questions you want of me in the live and on the live post after.

Kits!!! I have the one Ghost in a Garden Kit linked above. But I shared a post on Instagram yesterday asking shops to share if they have kits as well as telling all of your to tag your favorit shop to make a kit. P.S. check in with me if you see shops selling kits with the pattern. I wholesale patterns, but I only have a few on my list of authorized retailers.

What I’m making?

So I am going to start this version of the Ghost Party Quilt that is a mash up with my Capped Pattern.

I had mocked this up last year and never got around to it, but this year I decided to change up the colors to be a little more cozy autumn vibes. Feel free to reach out if you are interested in how to do this yourself. This will end up being a 72″w x 84″t quilt like the Capped Quilt. The Ghost Party quilt is 60″w x 72″t.

A little synopsis: I basically am using the Capped Quilt as my base and subbing in Ghosts for some of the Mushrooms. It requires a little math to figure out the background square quantities and then I use the cut lists from each individual mushroom and ghost. I would recommend printing a couple copies of the Capped and the Ghost Party coloring sheets and cutting out the indivual blocks to tap them together to create the quilt you want. Color that in and then do the background math.

In reality I will probably be able to shrink this down a little in width by only having one column of background squares between each mushroom or ghost.
