Tuesdays giveaway is at the bottom of this post! :)
This past weekend I did a small church craft show! It was nice. Better than I was expecting since in the past church craft shows have never been great for me. But as it’s my first show in two years and I tweaked my set up I am hoping it will help me get into some of the juried shows around here.
The booth in it’s entirety! I tried to keep the backdrop all white with just a couple colored things like the two small suitcases and some pyrex dishes to hold smaller items.
I made a sign to match my blog header, and ordered new business cards that match also. This is the tall unit I constructed a couple years ago. I made some tweaks this year but my big plan before next year is to replace the lattice with horizontal slats and integrated my sign as part of the slats. I think that will give it a more polished modern look.
I have a shelf full of cozy owls. Then hanging below are some of my embroidered wall art pieces.
On this side, I have the owl pillows, mini owls & mini mushrooms in the smaller suitcase, fancy garlands in the pyrex, and zippered pouches.
In the middle here I have the baby stuff, burp cloth sets & crinkle owls in the suitcase, big kid bibs on the table, and drool bibs hanging on the suitcase.
These are my new snowmen this year. I pinned this picture a bit ago on pinterest and the tall milk snowmen at the top of the picture inspired these snowmen.
They are made from vintage chenille & 100% wool felt. They stand up on there own because I put a good three inches of rice in the bottom and stuffed them super solid.
Finally on the other side I stacked a couple of white wooden crates and put my bigger animals and holiday animals in there.
I will be posting what didn’t sell this week on etsy so if you are interested in anything check back for my shop update announcement.
Okay and onto the giveaway for Tuesday!
A little love for somebody! This is a hand embroidered love you fabric and felt flag. This would be a gift for someone special to you. Or heck we all need a little reminding that we are loved! ;)
The flag is stitched to a twig and mounted in a vintage spool. It stands approx. 13″ tall and the flag is approx. 6″ wide.
The spool base has a vintage earring and some ribbon for a little extra detail!
To enter the giveaway, leave a comment telling me if you prefer to receive handmade gifts or store bought gifts more!

The giveaway will close at midnight tonight and I will announce the winner tomorrow!
So my Friend Ronda and I went thrifting yesterday and I just couldn’t quite get this post done in time. But I am hoping to make this a weekly installment.
We checked out this new to us thrift: Village Discount Outlet in Addison, IL. It was a good stop. Big, with mostly clothes, but some good homegoods stuff too.
Some of my finds included a wood picture, a mini navy blue suitcase, two bird wall art scupltures to be painted, a gnome embroidery kit, 4 wood engraved placemats?, and a couple clothing items (not pictured).
The gnome embroidery kit got me for the sketches on the back and the too cute picture on the front. Even if I never do this I will enjoy looking at him for a mere $1.80.
The wooden engraved, what I think are placemats, are just neat. I am not sure what I will do with them, but I couldn’t pass them up for $.90 each.
Oh and the mini navy blue suitcase, oh how I love thee! I am slowly building a cute tower of suitcases and this one joined the pack for $.90.
Keep those birds in mind as I will will share them once they are painted and hung in my home.
I have been stitching a little bit lately making some gifts.
This one was for the January (yeah I’m super late) From:Me To:You gift. I have this saying in a similar fashion in a printed version and love it. So I’m told the receiver of the January gift likes books and reading so I stitched this on linen for her.
I framed it in a thrifted 8″x10″ frame that she can stand or hang. I take out the glass to appreciate the texture of the embellishments and to not squish them either.
I just added a few bits of fabric and crocheted trim to match the stitching.
This next one is for a dear friend. Who has always been there for me even when I am not such a great friend.
Handstitched again on Linen with some fabric, vintage doily, ribbon, and buttons. This is just the beginning of the actual verse. Technically it is Proverbs 17:17a.
This is in a frame I thrifted a long time ago. It is 11″x14″ and I also left the glass out. It is meant to hang, but I had no empty nails to pop it on for a quick picture.
I have one more I am working on as a very belated thank you gift, I will share when it’s done. I am always behind since the munchkin came along, but he’s worth it.
Thanks for stopping by!
p.s. would anyone be interested in a Tutorial on this. It’s pretty simple but sometimes it’s nice to have the steps laid out in Photo Tutorial format? Let me know in the comments.
