I am bringing you the Sardine Bag Charm Tutorial today. You can make a mini stuffed Sardine Bag Charm, Christmas Ornament, Mirror Charm. Or with the additonal of a scrap of vinyl turn it into a Lipgloss Holder Bag Charm.

How To Make A Sardine Bag Charm
To get the full Tutorial head over to YouTube for the 17 minute Sardine Bag Charm Tutorial Video.
First you will need to Download the Free 1 Page Printable Pattern Pieces for the Sardine Bag Charms. HERE.
Then gather your supplies and craft!
Supplies: Lipgloss Holder
2 – 2″ x 7″ Quilting Cotton Scraps (Also for Bag Charm)
1 – 2″ x 7″ Fusible Fleece or Batting Scrap
1 – 2″ x 4″ Vinyl Scrap (Don’t have Vinyl Scraps? Find it at Sew Hungry Hippie or other small quilt shops)
2″ piece of Ribbon (Also for Bag Charm)
1 key ring if desired (Also for Bag Charm)
Small bit of Fiberfill (ONLY for Bag Charm)
Using the pattern pieces, cut out 2 of the Lipgloss Holder Piece from quilting cotton, make sure one is cut in reverse or a mirror image. Cut out 1 from the Fusible Fleece. Cut out a piece of the vinyl from the pattern piece indicated for that.
OR for the Stuffed Bag Charm just cut 2 pieces from the Bag Charm Pattern Piece from quilting cotton, make sure one is cut in reverse or a mirror image.
Iron the Fusible Fleece to the wrong side of one of the quilting cotton pieces. (lipgloss holder only)
Fold the ribbon in half, align the raw edge on the nose of one of the Sardine pieces and baste in place.
Align the two sardine pieces right sides together and sew about edges with 1/4″ seam allowance. leave a 2″ opening on the belly. Clip any curves and indents in the seam allowance.
Turn right sides out and iron flat.
For the Stuffed Bag Charm you will add the Fiberfill through the opening and ladder stich closed. Ladder Stitch Tutorial Video Here.
For the Lipgloss Holder align the piece of vinyl on the top and then top stitch around the vinyl piece from the bottom up and around the sides of the sardine, then around the tail and meet the stitches back at the bottom of the vinyl.
