A little lady I know and love turned 8 this August. I Moved to Chicago-land the month she was born, and started attending the church her dad pastors the week she came home so I have known her since birth and watched her grow up.
For her 7th birthday I set up a day for her to come over and do a couple crafts. We painted this fun backpack. We made this cool pillow with a hand stitched pear and glass beads. ( She did all the sewing herself, machine and hand)We painted this H for Hannah, and glued on some random fun stuff from around my craft stash.
So this year for her 8th birthday I decided to give her a box of goodies and a day to learn how to crochet.I found some fun fabric and whipped up this soft box. It has stiffener in between the fabric’s to help it stand up.
And there are were some fun goodies inside to start her crocheting and inspire her.I made the little amigurumi hippo using the Vanna’s Choice easy crochet critters pamplet. It has a lot of super cute easy animals to make. Hopefully Hannah will be able to make a couple.
I am very excited to have this little lady over and expand her crafting world!
