So here’s the problem with blogging! I love to do it and I have tons of ideas and topics. But often I forget to take pictures or I can’t find the time. :) So this is just me apologizing to you my lovely readers for not producing posts nearly as often as I should. :)
Okay on to the “Friend Quilt”! In February my best friend’s birthday arrived and I promised her a quilt. Well here is where the “no time” comes in, because I just finished it about a week ago, but “forgetting to take pictures” I am just posting about it now. Yikes.
It’s a lap size quilt to cuddle up with on the sofa while reading a good book or cuddling with a loved one. This was the inspiration quilt she picked, so I took that and started working on strips. But once a bunch where finished and I was laying them out it seemed like to much pattern, so I separated groups of pattern by strips of white. Oh it made such a difference.
The back is a coordinating fabric I cute in three strips vertically and separated by white strips. Simple and cute.
I quilted it with my trusty curly-cue quilting style. :) It looks great every time! I will be delivering it tomorrow so I hope she likes it. :)
I have another quilt top finished, it’s been finished for about a month. I need to buy batting and backing and hopefully I will have that to share shortly. :) Stay tuned.
Thanks for sticking with me and stopping by!
