    We made it! Our last elementary teacher quilt gift We made it! Our last elementary teacher quilt gift! 🥲 My daughter was very clear that it needed to be bunnies. With some unfortunate delays I was able to eek this out in 3 days! 🤪😍 I have had this bunny pattern tucked away for a bit as part of a Patchwork Pals pattern I am working on. And thought I would dive in and make the bunnies for this quilt. Plus add in the filler blocks so I didn’t have to make 9 bunnies! Lol. It all worked out. I had some trouble shooting with the filler blocks and I think the end result is so fun! Patchwork Pals is going to be a pattern with a bunch of pet like animals with a patchwork component.     What’s your preferred method? I think I know ho What’s your preferred method? I think I know how this poll will end up but you never know! It’s the final week of the New Star Beginner Quilt Course and it’s all about binding! I have several YouTube videos to go along with the blog post about how to bind a quilt. Both by hand stitching the last side down or by machine stitching.

The two kiddos got the flu last week, my son recovered in 3 days, my daughter shortly after only to then get a horrible head cold thing with a low fever, ending in an ear infection just as she started to feel normal. I contracted the head cold and let me tell you it was no joke. Knocked me out for a solid five days! Anyway we are back to a normal schedule and the New Star Beginner Quilt Course delayed Week 7 emails will be heading your way this evening! In little spurts of energy this last week I have simultaneously been doing a little hand quilting and cross-stitch!     I am working on the last little bits of my New Sta I am working on the last little bits of my New Star Beginner Quilt Course and this quilt is getting done and taken off the design wall. How did I tweak it to make a unique version you ask? 😂😇 This is the larger size blocks, I made 9 blocks. So it would have been 60” square. But I wanted to do a little something extra. So I continued the pattern motif for one more round of squares around the whole quilt. So it gives it some more interest and makes it bigger! what do you think? At first I was like do I like the off kilter pattern now? And in the end I decided I didn’t NOT like it so I kept it. 😂🙈 sometimes that’s how it goes! The New Star Beginner Quilt pattern is an expanded pattern with lots of extra info for new quilters. But is still fun to make for anyone! You can make it on your own or follow along with the free sew along Learn to Quilt Course all hosted on my blog and YouTube!     What’s your “toxic” quilting trait. But isn’t really toxic at all. Ha! Mine is not just buying the one fabric I need but filling my cart or needing to achieve free shipping!! Or just not wasting a good shopping sesh! Story time! I went to look for some fabric this am online and found it but then proceeded to see what else the shop had. Added a bunch to my cart and was like what?? Do I even need this? I mean yes, but also no! I don’t want to end up buried in fabric over here so I need to continue to be more intentional in my fabric buying. I walked away without purchasing any fabric. lol! Will I go back and buy what I need? Absolutely! Will I buy more than I need? More than likely! But I want to be in the right headspace when I purchase not just an add all to cart headspace.
