Something warm and cozy

Something warm and cozy

A quilt for a Christmas gift! I used this quilt as inspiration. I do love the way it turned out. It was a very simple pattern to figure out and achieve. I basically just cut 1″ strips of white, and 6″squares that I cut into triangles. I sewed a different triangle to each side of the white strips to make a new square and then sewed the squares together. Easy Peasy. I did layout each row before sewing so that I could get the coloring right since I had red, blue, and brown fabrics.

It is a nice cozy up on the couch lap size. I am pretty sure the receiver will like it. :) I did straight quilting on all the white borders and in the seams, and then quilted the outside border with nice loopies. :)

I can’t wait to give it away at Christmas. :)

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. Hi I'm from thebump's Dec 2010 forum! Was just dropping in to say hi! I've been trying to meet new blogging people especially mommies who will have little ones the same age as mine. :)
